The Houses on the Side of Pejompongan's Railway

If we travel by train in Jakarta, we would see lots of seems-like-temporary-houses on the side of the railway. The houses made from cheap plywood, corrugated iron, and used wood.
Both budget and people who live there causing it difficult for the government to move them into a proper place.

NIGHT SKETCHING AT THE BALCONY

Last night, me and some friends at my boarding house in Kampung Bali gathered together at the balcony of the house.
This is a night sketch I made while we're talking about boys and others. At the distance, there're office buildings such as Menara Thamrin and Cakrawala building. The sky is clear, there's only few clouds and some stars in the sky.

About me...Sketching

Since I found Urbansketcher's site. Suddently it remains me of my childhood, back in 1975. When I was about 7 years old, my brother took me on his bike sketching arround the city. Normally on Sunday or a public holiday. He was a highschool's student. I was so familiar with pencil colour and drafting pen.
Some drawing contest we joined and we won some prices. And we collect many trophies.

I thought my brother would go to architecture school because his architectural drawings are so wonderful. He finally continued his study in Civil Engineering School... I was a little bit upset because I did not see him again sketching.

Regarding his busy activity of studying, finally he took me to a private painting class. Some time we go outdoor sketching too. We visited old city, birdmarket etc. It was fun talking to people when sketching.

I also remember the time when I joined exchange students program in Australia. I used to do lots and lots of sketches.
